BIOGRAPHY

Jennifer Rae Accettola was born in Euclid, Ohio on December 10, 1969. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Spanish and Sociology from the University of Toledo in 1992. She began her studies at Tulane University in August 1992, and was awarded an assistantship and fee waiver by the Roger Thayer Stone Center for Latin American Studies for two years. She won a grant from the Center for Women's Studies at Tulane in March 1994 which helped cover travel expenses for the first trip to Mexico in that year.
